We recently completed a challenging rear garden transformation on Knutsford Road, Wilmslow — a sloping plot with significant level changes that had defeated a previous landscaper. Our solution was a two-tier garden design: a new retaining wall in natural sandstone created a level upper terrace, while the lower garden was turfed with premium lawn turf and bordered with a curved planting scheme of evergreen shrubs and perennials. A wide run of porcelain steps connected the two levels, and LED bollard lighting was set into the retaining wall to create a stunning effect after dark.
