The project pictured above is on Knutsford Road, Wilmslow — a retaining wall and porcelain paving scheme that turned an awkward, split-level plot into a clean, contemporary outdoor space. How We Approach Wilmslow Garden Design

Structure first. On sloping or split-level plots, we design the retaining walls, steps and terracing before anything decorative. Done properly — engineered footings, drainage behind every wall — these elements last decades. Done badly, they lean within five years.

Outdoor living as the brief.
